"Sony Idea Award" awards ceremony in Tokyo, January 2006

After the formal awards presentation, I was chatting with Sir Howard Stringer about my restructuring recommendations for Sony Corp and how my role as head of Change Management, the internal management consulting group at Sony Pictures, had provided the perspective to formulate my execution plan. The core of my recommendation was to develop a united front across lines of business to leverage strength in retail and to fully exploit our content. Cross-pollination of senior executives and implementing a robust “talent management” program were key features of my plan to drive this cultural change.
